Role Summary
The Rewilding & Restoration Lead plans and runs the habitat-restoration and pollinator-rewilding campaigns that close HIVE-13's loop — returning the colonies husbandry rears and the forage the bloom needs to living, defensible land. The role designs wildflower-corridor and forage restoration, plans rewilding releases with husbandry and the telemetry program, and selects sites for both ecological and security viability. Defending pollinators is only half the mandate; this role is the half that rebuilds the bloom and makes it stick.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute forage and wildflower-corridor restoration to durable, measurable ecological standards.
- Plan and lead pollinator rewilding releases jointly with husbandry and the Telemetry Analyst, gating each on release-readiness.
- Select and assess restoration sites for ecological viability and security defensibility with Intelligence and Field Operations.
- Monitor post-release colony survival and forage establishment, integrating findings into the COMB registry and MELISSA.
- Partner with Field Operations to protect restored sites and bring repeat threats into the escalation pipeline.
- Lead multi-division restoration campaigns end-to-end, holding scope, ecological outcome, and security in balance.
Required Qualifications
- Restoration-ecology or conservation-biology background.
- Field experience in pollinator-habitat or grassland restoration.
- Familiarity with rewilding and post-release monitoring methods.
- Project leadership across multi-division teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Protected-area or landscape-scale restoration program experience.
- Forage-ecology and floral-resource assessment expertise.
- Commitment to durable, defensible ecological outcomes.
