Browse the Index by Group

This browser takes every record in the Universal Pollinator Index and organizes it by taxonomic group (classgroup) — bee, wasp, hornet, fly, beetle, butterfly, moth, bird, bat, and cryptid. Within each group, every accession carries the same two grades used throughout the portal: its reality class — how firmly its existence is established — and its HCL, the Hive Containment Level governing handling. Groups are ordered by population; cards within a group by record ID. Click any card to open its full registry record.

Hive Containment Levels

The Hive Containment Level (HCL) grades how carefully an accession must be handled:

HCL-1 · OPEN MEADOW
HCL-2 · MANAGED HIVE
HCL-3 · SEALED ENCLOSURE
HCL-4 · VAULT ISOLATION

HCL-1 free-ranging in open habitat, no special handling. HCL-2 kept under routine apiary management. HCL-3 held in a sealed enclosure with restricted access. HCL-4 maximum isolation, sanctioned handlers only.
