The Directorate & Key Personnel

HIVE-13 is run as a single, accountable chain: the Hive Director sets intent and answers to the charter; five directors translate that intent into standing programs; and the field staff — apiary technicians, analysts, drone operators, and interdiction crews — carry it out. This page is the canonical map of that structure and the directory of the people who hold its posts.

The Directorate

At the apex sits the Hive Director, Dr. Marion Howard (call sign WARDEN) — founder, apiologist, and the only post that reports directly to the charter rather than to a person. Beneath him, five directors each hold a standing remit; every field technician, analyst, and crew chief in the Command rolls up through one of them. Reporting lines do not cross directorates without the Hive Director's sign-off.

Each directorate fans out into standing teams — watch officers and mesh analysts under Operations; fleet and fabric engineers under Engineering; the venom wing, breeders, and curators under Science; dispatch crews and interdiction teams under Field Operations; and the HR, facilities, legal, and doc-control desks under Administration. Field apiary technicians and analysts are the working edge of all five.

Reporting lines & changes. Every post on this page reports to exactly one directorate, and every directorate reports to the Hive Director — no dotted lines, no shadow chains. The org structure is itself doc-controlled: appointments, call-sign assignments, and reporting changes are not effective until recorded against HV-CMD-0002 and counter-signed by the Office of the Hive Director. Treat this directory as authoritative only at the revision shown in the doc-control header above.
