Threat Posture & Intelligence Picture
HIVE-13 stands between the world's pollinators and the actors driving their collapse. This page is the Command's standing security picture: the adversary landscape, the live threat-level board, the operational-security discipline that keeps the Command invisible behind the Honeyfield Conservancy, and the counter-intelligence and incident-response doctrine that governs every suspected breach.
Threat Landscape
Six adversary categories account for nearly all credible, ongoing threats to pollinator life. Each is profiled, graded, and tracked target-by-target in the Target Dossiers; the summaries below are the strategic picture the Command works from.
Neonicotinoid cartels
Industrial-scale producers and distributors of systemic neonicotinoid pesticides who suppress field data and lobby against restriction. The single largest driver of colony collapse — and the best-resourced, best-lawyered adversary the Command faces.
Pesticide smugglers
Grey- and black-market networks moving banned and counterfeit agrochemicals across borders into protected floral corridors. Mobile, deniable, and indifferent to the downstream kill. Primary disruption target for the Field directorate.
Queen & specimen traffickers
Collectors and brokers trading in rare queens, engineered lines, and HCL-3/4 specimens — including attempts to exfiltrate material from the Index itself. A direct threat to both wild genetics and the Command's own vault.
Habitat-razers
Developers, monoculture operators, and land-clearers who eradicate floral resources at landscape scale. Rarely illegal, often the most destructive — countered through documentation, rewilding, and legal & compliance pressure rather than interdiction.
Counterfeit-honey syndicates
Adulteration and laundering rings that flood markets with fake or syrup-cut honey, collapsing prices and the apiarist economies that sustain managed pollination. Tracked via provenance forensics and the Comb Data Fabric.
Invasive-hornet traffickers
Actors who deliberately introduce or trade invasive hornet lines — including Asian giant and engineered Sentinel strains — into naive ecosystems. A biosecurity threat of the highest order; cross-listed with the HCL-4 watch.
Threat Level Board
The standing board, refreshed each quarter by the Office of the Hive Director with input from every directorate. Levels are graded LOW GUARDED ELEVATED SEVERE.
| Threat vector | Current level | Trend | Owning directorate |

Operational Security (OPSEC)
The Command's first line of defense is not being seen at all. Every member of HIVE-13 is bound to the following discipline, without exception.
The Honeyfield public shell
Honeyfield Conservancy is the lawful, public-facing fundraising organization; HIVE-13 is the standing apparatus behind it. Externally, the Command does not exist. All public correspondence, grants, and press route through the Conservancy — never through HIVE-13.
QUANTUM-ZONE-TASK-FORCE EYES-ONLY discipline
Treat every page, dossier, and telemetry stream as INTERNAL // QUANTUM-ZONE-TASK-FORCE EYES-ONLY unless explicitly marked otherwise. No cross-posting to Conservancy channels, no personal devices, no exceptions for convenience. Classification is a handling rule, not a suggestion.
Comb Data Fabric only
All operational traffic moves over the self-healing Comb Data Fabric on the Waggle Protocol — no single point of failure, no plaintext, no third-party transit. Out-of-band comms are permitted only under a logged contingency authorized by Operations.
MELISSA anomaly watch
MELISSA continuously correlates access logs, telemetry, and field reporting for anomalies — unusual vault access, out-of-pattern queries, exfiltration signatures. Flagged anomalies escalate to Operations and the Office of the Hive Director in real time.
- Existence of the Command is never confirmed outside HIVE-13 channels.
- No specimen, dossier, or line is named to anyone without verified need-to-know.
- HCL-4 and vault references stay off any Conservancy-facing surface.
- Lost or compromised credentials are reported within the hour — not at shift end.
- Personal social posting of locations, craft, or call signs is prohibited.
