Role Summary

The Field Interdiction Operator is the hand HIVE-13 puts in the field when a bloom is under active threat — illegal pesticide spraying, habitat clearance, or the trafficking of managed colonies. The Operator runs surveillance, evidence capture, and direct interdiction strictly within the logged escalation tier, and is the judgment that holds the line between principled defense and overreach. The role protects pollinators on the ground where the swarm and the science cannot reach.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute observe, document, and interdiction operations against pollinator threats within the sanctioned escalation tier, never above it.
  2. Conduct covert approach, evidence capture, and disruption of illegal spraying or habitat destruction in coordination with Dispatch.
  3. Preserve recovered material to chain-of-custody standard for handoff to the Evidence & Custody Officer.
  4. Hold rules of engagement absolutely — disrupt the harm, never endanger bystanders or the org's deniability.
  5. Log every movement to the MELISSA telemetry layer for evidentiary reconstruction and after-action review.
  6. Refuse or pause any escalation that exceeds the tier and report the decision up the chain.
